Wither Dow goest?

There has been nearly a thousand point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average in the first two days since the election of Barack Obama. Are people starting to realize we may be looking at four more years of "failed policies"? (A phrase Obama likes when referring to the current Bush administration.). When the Inauguration and totally unnecessary frivolities that follow are over, it will be time to show us what ya got...if ya got. Americans are tired of having leaders who are clueless — the likes of: Richard "Tricky Dick" Nixon, Jimmy "Mr. Peanut" Carter, George "Read my lips" Bush, Bill "Get my rocks off" Clinton, and George "Dumber than a box of rocks" Bush junior.

Okay, I've had a little fun. In truth, the deed is done, we have our new Prez, and I, for one, believe in starting out each new one with a clean slate, regardless of how hopeless the prospects for success might be.

A successful Presidency helps the government to grow in efficiency, not in size. It helps people who are willing to work hard, fulfill their dreams. It spreads a positive image around the world, so people can see America as a friend, and not as an arrogant, self-absorbed bully. In this spirit best wishes for success Mr. President-elect Obama.
